\n\t\t\tTo the Seagull Circling Over My Head\t<\/h1>\n\tO my seagull,
\ndo not alight upon my eyes.
\nThese separated shores offer you no landing.\nPlunge into all the depths,
\nsoar above all the heights,
\nand bring me daylight-I will take it!
\nO my seagull, my eyes are vacant.\nDo not alight upon my heart!
\nThis heart, my seagull, is not mine:
\nCross all the lands that have never been crossed,
\npast all the living, the unknown, the lost.
\nLook down at the lonely, at all who are divided,
\nat all the icy peaks and all the green meadows,
\nand listen-
\nas long as your wings beat wearily above them,
\nso will my heart beat restlessly within them.\nDo not alight, my seagull,
\nbut to your flock return.
